Michael Rubens Bloomberg was born on February 14, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. His parents are William Henry Bloomberg, a bookkeeper for a dairy company, and Charlotte Rubens Bloomberg. Bloomberg’s family used to live in Allston until they moved to Brookline, Massachusetts when he was 2 years old, and moved again to Medford, Massachusetts two years later. They finally settled in a Boston suburb where he grew up and stayed until he graduated College. Bloomberg spent high school in Medford High School and went to college in Johns Hopkins University.
