David Lawrence Schwimmer was born on November 2, 1966 in Flushing, Queens to parents Arthur and Arlene, who are both lawyers. He is the older brother to sister Ellie. After a few years, David’s family eventually moved to Los Angeles. His earliest experience of acting was when he was given the role of fairy godmother in the Jewish version of Cinderella when he was 10 years old. They then moved to Beverly Hills in accommodate his parents’ careers. He then went to Beverly High School but always felt unhappy there, having the feeling that he didn’t belong there. In high school, his strengths were mathematics and science and thought that he would eventually be a doctor someday.
